Inflammation and disease

What is inflammation caused by?  Predictably enough  - what you eat.  Many people constantly consume foods that the human body was never intended to ingest.  Substances like MSG, BHT, BHA, (and loads of other acronyms) high fructose corn syrup, refined flour, refined sugar (in massive quantities).  Think about it - what did our ancestors eat?  Well, for starters, none of the above.  Look around at animals in the wild, or in zoos for that matter.  Do they eat any garbage they happen upon?  Of course not because it would kill them.  What happens if your dog eats something he's not intended to eat?  He gets sick, right?  So, you don't let him eat that again.  Why don't you treat yourself as well as you treat your dog?

So, you eat all this toxic stuff and your system gets so irritated that you develop systemic inflammation.  This is caused by the release of too much insulin and cortisol along with the presence of toxins in your blood from the food you eat.  Your arteries get inflamed so cholesterol sticks to them to heal the inflammation.  After all, cholesterol is an integral part of the cell membrane so it just wants to do its work.  Constant hikes in insulin result in insulin resistance which leads to type 2 diabetes.  This is all highly simplified, but hopefully you get the point.

What's the cure?  Lots of fresh, organic vegetables and fruit, good healthy oils (fish oil, olive oil, coconut oil), lean grass fed organic meat and fish.  Stop eating processed food, fast food, canned food, fried food, frozen dinners, sugar of any kind, alcohol, white flour products.  Do this, stick to this, walk 2 - 3 miles everyday and watch your bad cholesterol plummet and your waistline decrease.  Find out what it's like to sleep peacefully and feel good again.
